How easy was it to get stuck into this book?
This book is the fourth in the Darkweaver Legacy, and again follows Calvyn and his various friends and enemies through the fantasy land of Thrandor and its neighbouring countries. If you've read the last 3 books, then it shouldn’t disappoint you, but they do provide some quite important background to the book.

Who are the main characters?
The main character is Calyvn, the hero of the last three books, who was a soldier in the Thrandorian army, but has now turned to sorcery and magic, and is studying intently. Other important characters are his soldier friends, Bek and Jenna (as well as others), his minder, Perdimonn, who guards the Earth Key of Magic, and the grand magicians, a group of skilled mages who aid Calyvn.

What's the storyline?
The story is full of action, an has a lot of characters as well. It switches between different characters quite a lot, but not to an extent where it becomes too confusing. Again, the book mainly follows Calvyn as he attempts to stop the power obsessed magician Selkor from opening a link to the land of the Gods.

How's it written?
The book should appeal to most cool-readers. I think that it's only flaw is being slightly too perfect in some situations, where injuries are quickly repaired and nothing too bad seems to happen, however this in no way reflects badly on the book as a whole.
