Candy Quackenbush is a wistful, adventurous teenage girl with a morbid streak, who lives with an alcoholic father, a depressed mother and two brothers, in Chickentown, the most boring town in the world. After researching a school project Candy found herself walking past the End of the Road, across the grasslands away from Chickentown, and into an adventure beyond her wildest dreams. Alex (15) from the Isle of Wight liked this book and thinks the artwork is fantastic.
