How easy was it to get stuck into this book?
Very easy. Go Ask Alice is a really interesting book and the fact that it was the actual diary of a teenager made it more interesting.
Who are the main characters?
The main character is the teenager who wrote the diary who is called Alice. Alice has just moved with her mum and dad and her younger brother and sister to a new town, new house and a new school. Other characters are Chris, Jan and Marcie.
What's the storyline?
When Alice moves away from her home she feels lonely and can't make any new friends. So when she gets an invitation to another girl's party she is really excited. Alice is pretty trusting so when she gets given a drink in a game she doesn't think much of it. But in the drink is LSD, a dangerous drug. Alice becomes addicted to drugs and sets out with her new 'friends' to try out new drugs. This is Alice's true story of getting addicted to drugs, and how she got un-addicted to them.
How's it written?
Go Ask Alice is written as diary entries. The ending was very sad when you realise that Alice didn't actually make it, and died.
Other books by the same author that
Brooke Stephens
knows about?
None; 'alice' is dead.

Fire Bringer is a pacy story which is all about a herd of deer fleeing for their lives. Among them is Rannoch, who is supposed to fulfil an ancient prophecy.
