Quick Pick
- 08 September 2010 -

The House of the Windjammer has loads of action, good characters, an original plot and more. It follows young Adam, the son of one of three brothers who run a shipping company. When two of the brothers, including his father, perish Adam ends up with the whole of this company. He is left with only his bumbling, fat Uncle Augustus, who has difficulties running his own life let alone a large company. The book also dips briefly into the tulip mania that ran through Amsterdam (where the story is set). Altogether, it makes a compelling and realistic story, with enough action to satisfy most readers.
